Paper Excellence Canada Restarting Catalyst Crofton Pulp Mill, but Paper Operations Remain Curtailed Through October
Paper Excellence Canada announced on Tuesday (9-26-23) that it will resume kraft pulp operations at its Catalyst Crofton mill, returning more than 300 workers to their jobs. The company notes that while conditions allow for the restart of the pulp operations, the curtailment of paper operations at the Crofton mill is being extended to the end of October.
According to the press release, Paper Excellence Canada is continuing to work with both the Public and Private Workers of Canada and Unifor unions to support its workforce as pulp production restarts and to mitigate the impact of the ongoing paper production curtailment.
