Davis Timber Plans Expansion at Deridder, LA, Facility
On Monday, Louisiana Economic Development announced that Davis Timber Company Inc. plans to expand its operations in Deridder, Louisiana, with a $1.9 million investment aimed at increasing production capacity.
The project will enhance the company’s existing facility at the Beauregard Regional Airport Industrial Complex by adding new processing capabilities, including a kiln-drying operation to improve efficiency and product readiness.
Davis Timber produces poles and pilings for utility and infrastructure applications, with operations spanning timber processing, treatment, and product preparation for distribution.
To support the expansion, the State of Louisiana will provide a $200,000 performance-based grant for infrastructure improvements and equipment. The company is also expected to participate in the state’s Industrial Tax Exemption Program.
Construction is underway, with project completion and operations expected by January 2027.
