Arbec to Indefinitely Close Its Amos, QC, OSB Mill

On Tuesday, Unifor Quebec said that Arbec Forest Products will suspend operations at its OSB mill in Amos, Quebec, for an indefinite period starting December 20. The closure will affect nearly 100 workers.

According to information shared with Unifor, Arbec is suspending operations but not dismantling the mill. The facilities and equipment will be maintained and secured during the shutdown.

Unifor said it sees clear long-term potential for the Amos site and stressed that every effort should be made to support the mill’s eventual recovery.
