Canadian Sawmill Production Rises but Shipments Decline in August

On Wednesday, Statistics Canada (StatCan) reported that Canadian sawmills produced 3,674,040 m3 of lumber in August, a 4.0% increase from July but down 3.8% from August 2025.

Lumber shipments totaled 3,599,200 m3 in August, a 3.7% decrease from July but up 1.5% from August 2025.
