US Wood Pellet Exports Increase in November

The US exported 891,093.3 metric tons of wood pellets in November 2025, up from 814,292.2 metric tons in October and from 874,171.2 metric tons in November 2024, a Biomass Magazine review (2-2-26) of data released by the US Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service shows.

The US exported wood pellets to approximately 19 countries in November. The top destinations were the UK at 634,927.8 metric tons, followed by Denmark at 117,800.6 metric tons and Japan at 90,999.4 metric tons.

The value of US wood pellet exports totaled $170.6 million in November, up from $145.69 million in October and from $162.4 million a year earlier.

Total wood pellet exports for the first 11 months of 2025 reached 9.26 million metric tons at a value of $1.77 billion, compared with 9.08 million metric tons valued at $1.69 billion during the same period in 2024.
