USDA: US wood pellet exports reach 964,861 metric tons in January
According to data released on Thursday (3-12-26), by United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service, the U.S. exported 964,860.7 metric tons of wood pellets in January, up from 834,615.0 metric tons in December 2025 and 825,269.9 metric tons in January 2025.
According to the USDA, the U.S. exported wood pellets to more than a dozen countries in January. The U.K. was the top destination for U.S. wood pellet exports at 805,760.3 metric tons, followed by Denmark at 97,026 metric tons and the French West Indies at 43,119 metric tons
The value of U.S. wood pellet exports reached $189.5 million in January, up from $164.19 million in December 2025 and $157.96 million in January 2025.
