Russian Sawn Wood Exports Down -9.8% Year-On-Year for the Period of January – May 2020

According to data provided by the RF Federal Customs Services, Russia’s exports of sawn goods were down -9.8% year-on-year for the period of January – May 2020. In terms of value, sawn goods exports were down -9.1% making $1.7 bn. Log and newsprint exports declined, while plywood and wood pulp exports increased. The month of May was the strongest for exports of the total 5-months reviewed in the report.
