PF Olsen and Forest360 Merge to Form Australasia’s Largest Independent Forest Manager

PF Olsen and Forest360 announced that they will merge to create the largest independent forest management company in Australasia, combining two of New Zealand’s best-known forestry businesses.

As part of the transaction, Adamantem Capital will join as an investment partner, alongside existing PF Olsen cornerstone shareholder Quayside Holdings, to support the group’s next phase of growth.

The merger brings together more than five decades of forestry experience, complementary service offerings, and strong regional footprints across New Zealand and Australia. The combined group will manage about 480,000 hectares (1.19 million acres) of forest and serve more than 1,000 clients, ranging from large institutional investors to family-owned businesses and private landowners.

Leadership of the new group will come from the existing executive teams. Forest360 Managing Director Dan Gaddum will serve as Group CEO, PF Olsen CEO Ross Larcombe will become Group Chief Commercial Officer, and Forest360 executive Marcus Musson will take the role of Group Chief Operating Officer.
