Metsä Fiber Ends Change Negotiations at Three Finnish Sawmills
On Thursday, Metsä Group announced that the change negotiations held at Metsä Fibre’s sawmills in Lappeenranta, Renko, and Vilppula, Finland, on possible temporary layoffs of up to 90 days have ended.
Following the end of the change negotiations, the company has made a decision according to which, the sawmills may, if necessary, implement temporary layoffs for the entire personnel as of April and by the end of December. The duration of temporary layoffs is up to 90 days.
