Greenply Industries Launches New Wood Panel Facility in Odisha, India

Greenply Industries has expanded its manufacturing footprint with a new integrated panel facility in Semiliguda, Koraput district, Odisha, India, Construction World reported (9-22-25).

The Semiliguda Industrial Project, valued at more than Rs 6 billion (US$67.9 million), will produce plywood and MDF, create over 1,200 direct jobs, and support sustainable agroforestry-based growth in the region.

Developed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Greenply Sandila, the Semiliguda project leverages strategic location advantages, abundant plantation-grown timber, and strong road and rail connectivity.

Greenply highlighted its ongoing focus on eco-friendly manufacturing and community development. The company has planted more than 75 million seedlings across 100,000 acres, securing a sustainable raw material supply, raising farmer incomes, and contributing to India’s goal of 33% green cover.
