Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Increase in April

According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) rose 4.0% year-over-year in April, increasing from $306.5 million in April 2024 to $317.7 million.

Pine sawnwood exports rose 19% in value, from $48.7 million in April 2024 to $58.0 million in April 2025. In volume, exports increased 13%, from 219,100 m3 to 247,600 m3.

Tropical sawnwood exports grew 41% in volume, from 23,900 m3 to 33,700 m3. In value, exports rose 19%, from $10.1 million to $12.0 million.

Pine plywood exports increased 22% in value, from $67.9 million in April 2024 to $82.8 million in April 2025. The volume rose 31%, from 197,700 m3 to 259,600 m3.

Tropical plywood exports grew 23% in volume and 7% in value, from 2,600 m3 and $1.5 million in April 2024 to 3,200 m3 and $1.6 million in April 2025.

Wooden furniture exports increased 7% in value, from $45.5 million in April 2024 to $48.7 million in April 2025.
