binderholz Group Completes Acquisition of Finnish Sawmill Operator Kuhmo Oy

On Monday, binderholz Group announced that Binder Beteiligungs AG, a member of the Austria-based group, has completed its acquisition of all shares of Finnish companies Kuhmo Oy and Juntinsalo Oy.

Kuhmo Oy is an established Finnish sawmill operator, processing more than 1 million cubic meters of roundwood annually. The company generates approximately €150 million in annual revenue and employs 180 people. Juntinsalo Oy serves as the real estate company of the Kuhmo Group.

The acquisition strengthens binderholz Group’s position as one of the world’s largest sawn timber producers and expands its presence in the Nordic region. The group now operates three sites in Eastern Finland, processing a combined 2 million cubic meters of roundwood annually.

According to the company, Kuhmo’s existing management will oversee integration into binderholz Group’s structures and lead further development. The transaction will not affect existing employment relationships, and Kuhmo employees will continue working under their current terms and conditions.
