Belarusian Commodity Exchange Announces Cooperative Agreement with China’s Timber & Wood Products Distribution Association

According to BelTA, the state-owned National News Agency of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) and the China Timber & Wood Products Distribution Association (CTWPDA) reached an agreement on cooperation in timber exchange trade.

The parties plan to cooperate in such areas as attracting Chinese timber importers to the BUCE, holding joint events for Chinese business, raising awareness and advising on accreditation and participation in exchange trading.

According to BUCE, between January and May 2025 participants from China became the largest buyers of timber at BUCE generating 30% of the total export sales of these products. Along with residents of China, the top five importers of sawnwood products also included Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Singapore.
