Japan Unveils ¥41 Million Public Homes For Noto Quake Survivors
On Thursday, officials in Japan marked the completion of a 14-unit municipal housing complex in Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture, for survivors of the January 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
Constructed by Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd., the complex uses CLT construction. The development is the region’s first completed disaster public housing facility.
The complex also includes communal halls and outdoor gathering spaces intended to support connections among displaced residents. The first residents are scheduled to move into the complex on August 1.
