US LBM Announces Sale of Three Divisions to L&W Supply

US LBM announced on Monday (1-24-23) that it had reached a definitive agreement to sell three of the company’s operating divisions to L&W Supply, an operating unit of ABC Supply, headquartered in Beloit, Wisconsin. US LBM, based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, is a leading distributor of specialty building materials with over 400 locations throughout the US.

In total, these three divisions and their subsidiaries currently operate 42 locations in 12 states and primarily sell and distribute interior building materials, including wallboard, acoustical ceiling products, and steel framing.

Included in the sale to L&W Supply are:

  1. Feldman Lumber Co., based in Brooklyn, New York, has three locations in New York and one location in New Jersey. It was purchased by US LBM in 2014.
  2. Rosen Materials Co., headquartered in Sunrise, Florida, has locations in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Nevada. It was purchased by US LBM in 2015.
  3. Wallboard Supply Co., based in Londonderry, New Hampshire, has six locations throughout the Northeast. It was purchased by US LBM in 2014.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory review, and is expected to close in 2023Q3.
