S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller US Home Price Index Rises 0.6% Month-Over-Month in July
S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index Continues to Trend Upward in July
On Tuesday (9-26-23), S&P Dow Jones Indices released its S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller US National Home Price NSA Index for July. The Index, covering all nine Census divisions, shows 19 of 20 major metro markets reported month-over-month increases.
Year-over-year, the Index reported a gain of 1.0%, after posting no change in June and 0.4% loss in May. The 10-City Composite posted a 0.9% annual increase, an improvement from declines of 0.5% in June and 1.1% in May. The 20-City Composite posted a 0.1% year-over-year increase in July, up from a loss of 1.2% in the previous month.
Before seasonal adjustment, the US National Index posted a 0.6.% month-over-month increase in July, with both the 10-City and 20-City Composites posting like increases of 0.6%.
After seasonal adjustment, the US National Index posted a month-over-month increase of 0.6%, while the 10-City Composite posted a 0.8% increase and the 20-City Composite posted 0.9% increase.
