Fannie Mae Home Purchase Sentiment Index Holds Steady in September

On Tuesday, Fannie Mae released the results of its September National Housing Survey (NHS), which includes the Home Purchase Sentiment Index (HPSI)—a measure of consumer sentiment toward housing.

The HPSI remained unchanged month-over-month at 71.4. Year-over-year, the index declined 2.5 points.
