Metrie Acquires Anderco, Continuing to Grow its Solid Wood and MDF Manufacturing and Distribution Business

Woodworking Network reported on Tuesday (4-25-23) that Metrie Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets of Anderco Inc., a Fullerton, California-based manufacturer and distributor doors and door frames.

Metrie Inc. is a Vancouver-based company with operations that include six solid wood and MDF manufacturing facilities, plus 26 distribution centers in Canada and the US.

According to Woodworking Network, this marks the second acquisition of a California-based company and the fourth acquisition in just over a year for Metrie. In 2022, Metrie acquired Oregon-based Fred Tebb & Sons Inc., a hemlock and alder moulding manufacturer and distribution business; Tinder Wholesale, LLC, an interior and exterior millwork distributor; and EL & EL Wood Products Corp., a California-based moulding, millwork, and door distributor.

In December 2020, Metrie became North America’s largest MDF moulding manufacturer with the completion of its acquisition of Pacific MDF Products Inc. and Canadian MDF Products Co., collectively known as Pac Trim.
