NCCC and IAM Announce Tentative Agreement
NCCC, IAM Announce National Tentative Agreement
On Monday, the National Carriers Conference Committee (NCCC), the bargaining group for Class 1 and other railroads, announced it has reached a national tentative agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).
The tentative agreement is consistent with the terms of the dozens of local and national contracts ratified as part of the 2025 bargaining round.
NCCC said the terms of these pattern agreements provide wage increases of 18.8% over five years, enhancements to health and welfare benefits with no increase to the employee contribution rate, and access to more paid vacation time for employees earlier in their careers.
The national tentative agreement with IAM follows a wave of recent agreements and ratifications. Seven national contracts have been ratified—with ATDA, NCFO, TCU, BRC, SMART-MD, BMWED, and IBEW—and a tentative agreement with IBB is pending ratification.
