Riverside Forest Products to Build New Sawmill in Forks, WA

Riverside Forest Products USA, a subsidiary of Canada’s Riverside Industries, plans to build a $12-million sawmill at the Forks Industrial Park in Forks, Washington, Building Projects Digest reported (8-5-25).

The facility will produce kiln-dried hemlock and green Douglas fir dimensional lumber. Phase one of the project is expected to create 40–50 jobs, with a potential second shift adding another 30–50 positions within two to three years.

Riverside has also expressed interest in developing a cogeneration power plant.

A $200,000 grant secured by the Clallam Economic Development Council will help offset the cost of lighting and electrical upgrades at the industrial park.
