Godfrey Forest Products Announces New OSB Mill in Jay, Maine

Godfrey Forest Products has announced plans to build a new OSB plant in Jay, Maine, Panel World Magazine reported (3-8-24). The expected annual production capacity is 800 MMSF.

The facility will be built on the site of a paper mill known as the Androscoggin Mill, which closed in 2023.

Godfrey hopes to receive permits within a year and begin construction thereafter, Panel World Magazine reported. Overall, production is estimated to begin in about two and a half years.

Maine Governor Janet Mills said the mill would provide 125 jobs in addition to construction jobs.
