After filing for bankruptcy on June 2, 2020, the fate of C&C Wood Products and Westside Logging in Quesnel was in doubt. There will be new owners as of August 4th, 2020. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) the court appointed receiver announced on July 29th that the Supreme Court of British Columbia had approved the deal PWC had made earlier with a company named Quesnel Investment Corporation and the sale should close within 5-days. The non-license asset purchase agreement is expected to close within five business days and the forest and timber license purchase agreement is expected to close by October 31, 2020. When fully operational the Quesnel facility will employ over 100.
