TLM Opens Its First Sawmill in New Albany, MS
The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) – New Albany, MS
The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) has opened its first sawmill in New Albany, Mississippi. The full-scale operating facility will also serve as a research and development center, where TLM plans to refine the systems, software, and processes intended for use across its broader mill network.
According to TLM, the company is developing a nationwide network of sawmills aimed at expanding US lumber manufacturing capacity. Each mill is designed around regional timber resources, logistics, workforce availability, and customer demand, while using a common TLM technology platform.
TLM said it selected Northeast Mississippi because of the region’s timber supply, skilled workforce, logging infrastructure, industry expertise, and access to Southern pine.
The sawmill has annual lumber production capacity of 45 MMBF. The facility created more than 30 jobs in 2025, with additional hiring underway as production ramps up. The mill is Southern Pine Inspection Bureau (SPIB) certified.
