Mirax Group acquires Errington Cedar Sawmill
Mirax Group has acquired the assets of the former Errington Cedar Sawmill in Errington, BC, Woodworking Network reported (4-13-26).
The company said the acquisition supports its strategy to invest in the long-term growth of British Columbia’s forestry sector, while strengthening supply chains for cedar and softwood products serving global markets.
The Errington Cedar Sawmill, known for producing premium cedar products for domestic and export markets, had faced closure in recent years amid industry challenges. Mirax Group will operate the facility as its Vancoast Sawmill division, positioning the site within its expanding coastal operations.
Mirax plans to evaluate potential investments in modernized milling technology and value-added processing to expand product offerings and improve competitiveness.
