Canadian Sawmill Production Increases 7.6% in October

On Friday, Statistics Canada (StatCan) reported that lumber production increased 7.6% to 4,251.3 thousand m3 in October. However, year-over-year, lumber production was down 5.2%.
Sawmills shipped 4,441.5 thousand m3 of lumber in October, up 13.0% from September and up 1.6% from a year earlier.
