On Tuesday, Statistics Canada (StatCan) reported that Canadian lumber production increased 17.3% to 4,325.9 thousand cubic meters in March. Year-over-year, lumber production was down 1.6%.
Sawmills shipped 4,200.6 thousand cubic meters of lumber in March, up 22.5% from February but down 2.9% year-over-year.
