On Friday, Statistics Canada (StatCan) reported that lumber production declined 0.1% month-over-month to 4,435.5 thousand cubic meters in November. However, production was up 2.4% year-over-year.
Sawmills shipped 4,271.3 thousand cubic meters of lumber in November, StatCan reported. This is 1.3% below October but 7.9% higher than November 2022.
