On Friday, Statistics Canada (StatCan) reported that lumber production decreased 7.7% to 3,681.5 thousand cubic meters in July. Year-over-year, production was up 2.8%.
Sawmills shipped 3,867.0 thousand cubic meters of lumber in July, down 5.3% from June but up 4.2% from July 2023.
