Andersen to Acquire Bright Wood

Andersen Corporation announced that it has agreed to acquire Bright Wood Corporation, the largest independent manufacturer of window and patio door components and engineered dimensional lumber in the US.

Bright Wood will continue to operate under local leadership following the acquisition. Andersen said it will participate in board-level and executive-level governance but will not be involved in the company’s day-to-day operations.

Headquartered in Madras, Oregon, Bright Wood employs more than 1,000 people across 28 processing plants and five locations nationwide. Under the new ownership, the business will be led by window and door industry veteran Pat Meyer, who will serve as acting CEO, supported by several tenured members of the Bright Wood leadership team.

Bright Wood, a family-owned company with more than 60 years of history, has been a key supplier to the window and door industry. The company will continue delivering its existing products and said it will pursue new opportunities to strengthen customer relationships under the new ownership.
