Concrete-framed homes represented 5% of completions, while steel-framed homes accounted for 0.5%.
Approximately 947,000 wood-framed single-family homes were completed in 2025, down 1% from 2024. Despite the decline in completions, wood framing’s market share was unchanged at 94%.
Steel-framed construction remained limited but increased during the year. About 5,000 steel-framed homes were completed in 2025, up 25% from the previous year.
