US Mortgage Rates Little Changed in the Week Ending November 13

On Thursday, Freddie Mac released its Primary Mortgage Market Survey for the week ending Thursday, November 13.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.24%, up from 6.22% the previous week. A year ago at this time, the 30-year rate averaged 6.78%.

The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 5.49%, down from 5.50% last week. A year ago at this time, the 15-year rate averaged 5.99%.

Commenting on this week’s survey, Freddie Mac Chief Economist Sam Khater said:

“Rates for the 30-year and the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage essentially remained flat this week, but we did see purchase activity increase, which is encouraging.”
