Mortgage Applications Decline 1.5% from 2 Weeks Earlier
According to data from the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending January 3, 2020, mortgage application has declined 1.5% from 2-weeks earlier on a SAAR. The results include adjustments to account for the holidays. On an unadjusted basis, the Index decreased 22% compared with two weeks ago. The Refinance Index decreased 8% from two weeks ago, but is 74% higher than the same week one year ago.
