ADP: Private Sector Employment and Compensation Increase in July
According to the ADP National Employment Report released on Wednesday, private sector employment increased by 104,000 jobs in July. Year-over-year, annual pay rose 4.4%.
The jobs report and pay insights use ADP’s fine-grained anonymized and aggregated payroll data to provide a representative picture of the private-sector labor market.
Commenting on the report, ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson said:
“Our hiring and pay data are broadly indicative of a healthy economy. Employers have grown more optimistic that consumers, the backbone of the economy, will remain resilient.”
