Victor Haley
Victor Haley leads the Eversheds Sutherland Forestry & Climate Solutions group. He is recognized as a leading authority in timberland transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, timberland financings, joint ventures, timber supply agreements, and forestry carbon projects.
Victor was lead counsel representing the institutional buyers in the largest private land transaction ever, the acquisition of approximately five million acres of timberland from International Paper by a consortium of buyers. He also recently advised a joint venture of investors in one of the largest private forest carbon investments in US history, valued at approximately $1.8 billion.
Victor regularly handles transactions throughout the United States, the Americas, and around the globe, most recently in Brazil, Belize, Panama, Costa Rica, China, and Japan. Victor also co-leads the firm’s Latin America Initiative.
Victor earned his BA from Harvard College and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
