Mike Cerchiaro
Mike Cerchiaro joined Forest Investment Associate (FIA) in 2004 and serves as President and CEO of the firm, which is a specialist investment manager focused on sustainable forest investment and nature-based solutions with more than $4.8B of AUM across more than 2 million acres in the Americas. He leads the FIA team in its mission to create value through sustainable forest investments and exemplary client service. Mike brings strong investment credentials to complement his global forestry background and has had the privilege to lead teams across FIA’s diverse functional areas. As CEO, he serves as Chair of the Executive Committee, as a Director on FIA’s Board, and is a member of the Investment Committee, ESG Committee, and Risk Management Committee.
Mike’s career in forestry has spanned activity in academia, operations, logistics management, transactions, and international investments. Previously, Mike led FIA’s Investment Management Team (IMT), responsible for the ongoing investment management of FIA’s entire portfolio across the Americas. Before his role on the IMT, he developed and launched FIA’s International Investment Team, leading FIA through its first decade of investing in Brazil and Chile and organically expanded FIA’s capabilities internationally.
Mike is a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Soil Science Society of America and serves on the Advisory Board of Virginia Tech’s Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation.
