John Shook
John has over 14 years of experience in the forest products industry and currently serves as General Manager of Export Wood Product Sales at West Fraser.
His background encompasses both sales and production responsibilities as well as multiple product lines, including coastal and interior lumber, OSB panels, and pulp. He is well-versed in international logistics and the costs of accessing markets worldwide. In addition, he spent nearly a decade living in China and Japan and is fluent in Japanese and Mandarin.
John brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of forest product economics—from log to end-use products—across multiple geographies. With deep industry insight and a global outlook, John’s experience enables him to bridge the gap between operational realities and customer needs.
