Johannes Mörth
Johannes is Sales Director at Mercer Timber Products and Mercer Torgau in Germany. He has worked in the wood products industry since 1995, encompassing three decades of sales and leadership experience across European markets.
Before joining Mercer, Johannes served as Head of International Sales at Rettenmeier Holding. He has also held sales management roles at Ilim Timber Bavaria, Wood Forum Handelsgesellschaft, HCW, and Holzindustrie Leitinger.
Mercer Timber Products, where Johannes leads sales activities, is one of the largest sawmills in Germany. Built in 1992 and located in Saalburg-Ebersdorf at the intersection of Bavaria, Saxony, and Thuringia, the facility employs around 460 people. The sawmill became part of Mercer International Inc. in April 2017.
Mercer Torgau, part of Mercer International since 2022, is the largest pallet manufacturer in Europe. The facility produces up to 50,000 pallets per day and processes approximately one million solid cubic meters of wood annually. In addition, it produces 80,000 tons of briquettes and 150,000 tons of pellets each year.
Johannes holds an Industrial Master certification from the LHK Training Institute for Wood Industry and Plastics Technology in Rosenheim. He also completed his technical education at the Technical School for Wood Industry and Sawmill Technology in Kuchl.
