Erik Eliasson
Erik has been the Sales Director at Norra Timber since 2010.
Erik started his sawmilling carrier growing up in a sawmill entrepreneur family. After studying business economics at university, he started his carrier at a regional sawmill trade organization. Then, he became sales manager at the Swedish energy company Vattenfall, and later the CEO of a regional contractor company.
Norra Timber is a cooperative company owned by 27,000 private forest owners in the northern half of Sweden. The forests total approximately 2.2 million hectares of forest land. The company has 620 employees at three sawmills (900,000 m3 of capacity), two planing mills (250,000 m3 per year), and one pole factory (75,000 poles per year).
Norra Timber is a 30% owner in the Husum pulp mill (750 000 tons per year). The company has an annual turnover of approximately 0.5 billion Euros.
Erik is also the Chairman of the Market Committee at Swedish Forest Industries Federation (comprising the sales directors for 10 largest sawmill groups in Sweden).
