Andreas Ruf
Andreas Ruf brings nearly three decades of expertise in wood science, industry analysis, and editorial leadership. Since 2017, he has served as the Managing Editor for special issues at EUWID, a leading European trade publication based in Germany. Previously, he was Editor-in-Chief from 2007 to 2017 and has held various editorial roles at EUWID since 1995.
In addition to his editorial career, Andreas has extensive experience as a forestry consultant for privately held timberlands. His hands-on expertise includes managing a 330-hectare (815-acre) forest for over ten years.
He earned a diploma (MA equivalent) in Wood Science from the University of Hamburg in 1995, including studies at the Federal Research Institute for Forestry and Forest Products. In 1991, he received his first diploma in Wood Science from the same institution.
