Andreas Krawczyk

Andreas Krawczyk is an accomplished architect with a 26-year career spanning multiple disciplines and continents. In 2007, he co-founded the Frankfurt-based architectural practice NKBAK with Nicole Kerstin Berganski, expanding its reach by opening a Berlin office in 2022. That same year, he co-founded Integrated Design Cubed (IDCUBED) with Peter Rose and Justin W. Cook in Boston.

Throughout his career, Andreas has held pivotal roles at renowned firms, including Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA in Tokyo. While there, he led the preliminary design of The Louvre Lens in France and managed the full scope of the Zollverein School of Management and Design in Germany. Previously, he built extensive experience at Heinrich Böll Architects and von Busse, Klapp, Brüning Architects.

A dedicated academic, Andreas has held visiting professorships at KIT Karlsruhe’s Department of Design and Construction Planning and the University of Kassel’s Department of Design and Building Theory. He also served as a research assistant at TU Darmstadt’s Department of Design and Structural Engineering.

Andreas received his diploma from the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences in 1998. He was appointed to the BDA in 2011 and served on Frankfurt’s Urban Planning Council from 2011 to 2015.
