Holmen AB, Completes Acquisition of Martinsons

Holmen AB, one of Sweden’s largest forestry companies has announced that they have completed the purchase of Martinsons, one of Sweden’s leading sawn and processed wood manufacturing companies. Originally announced on July 17^th, the all cash acquisition was completed on October 1^st. The official handing over of the ceremonial key took place at the sawmill in Bygdsiljum, which will now become one of the largest in the Holmen Group. An essential aspect of the deal is the access to raw material, in an area in which the companies have both spent many years establishing close partnerships.
