Fire Damages a Mill Under Construction in Port Alberni B.C.
The San Group’s remanufacturing plant located in Port Alberni B.C., on Vancouver Island, was just weeks away from going into full operation, when a fire on Wednesday (4/29) morning destroyed a significant portion of the newly built structure. Kamal Sanghera, the CEO of San Group, said 75% of the plant is operational and his team is working to find replacement machinery for the damaged equipment. “We’re going to make it operational as soon as possible, as soon as humanly possible,” Sanghera said.
