CN Strike Entering its 6th Day, with No Resolution or Government Intercession in Sight

Approximately 3,200 Canadian National Railroad conductors, crew persons and yard workers remain on strike for a sixth day.  As the strike over safety issues and prescription drugs benefits drags on, agricultural, chemical, forestry, energy and petroleum industry spokespeople keep encouraging Prime Minster Justin Trudeau to recall the House of Commons from recess, rather than waiting for the scheduled December 2nd return date. To date, all those requests are being referred to the labor minister, who is continuing to push for a negotiated settlement, rather than government action. The CN is reporting that about 10% of their daily car movements are taking place.
