British Columbia to Set Aside $875K for Communities Hurt by Sawmill Closures

The B.C. Provincial government has announced that it will provide an additional $875,000 CDN, to 11 communities to assist mill workers and their families transition into other jobs. This is on top of province’s recently announced investment of $69 million, to support Interior B.C. forest workers impacted by recent mill closures and curtailments.
