HS Timber Group Expands Product Portfolio with Acquisition of Finnish Sawmiller Luvian Saha Oy

HS Timber Group, one of Europe’s leading wood processing companies with exports destinations to over 70 countries, announced it is expanding its product portfolio with its acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Finnish sawmill Luvian Saha Oy, whose products are known under the brand name “Luvia Wood.” The company is located in Luvia, Finland, and the parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Luvian Saha Oy’s annual production is approximately 300,000 m3 of sawn timber, and the mill employs close to 120 employs. Luvian Saha Oy only cuts and further processes coniferous roundwood logs procured from regional forest management units. The sawmill is located near various Finnish ports, which helps expedite the export process. The high-quality finished products are marketed and sold to customers in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

In value-added processing, Luvian Saha Oy uses a majority of wood products from its own production. It produces high-quality finished and surface-treated products which will continue to be marketed under the “Luvia Wood.”
