Mike Bloomfield
Mike is the Executive General Manager – Wood Products for OneFortyOne, a trans-Tasman forestry and sawmill business. In this role, Mike is responsible for the leadership of the Wood Products Australia business, including the historic Jubilee Sawmill in Mount Gambier, South Australia, a significant local employer in the region.
Mike has held senior roles at OneFortyOne since 2017 where he has had a significant impact on the growth of the company’s wood products business in domestic and international markets. In addition to Mike’s ten years in the timber industry, he also has a decade’s worth of experience leading a ready-mix concrete business, responsible for business performance, people, capital projects, and safety.
Experienced in leading the business through complex market challenges, Mike is heavily focused on safety, business performance, customer contentment, and supporting his team to succeed.
Looking ahead in 2023, Mike will continue the modernization of Jubilee Sawmill with a focus on significant capital investment, emission reduction, safety performance, improved environmental product credentials, and workforce culture.
Recreationally, Mike is a keen cyclist and enjoys exploring off road mountain bike trails. He lives in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife and two children. Mike completed his post-graduate studies at Melbourne University and holds a Master of Business Enterprise.
