Executive Director, US Lumber Coalition

Zoltan van Heyningen

Zoltan van Heyningen joined the US Lumber Coalition in July 2005, and has been the Executive Director of the Coalition since April 2006.

Mr. van Heyningen led the Coalition during the difficult negotiations that established the US–Canada Softwood Lumber Agreement, and more recently through every phase of the current ongoing trade cases against unfairly traded Canadian lumber imports. Prior to joining the Coalition, he worked on trade policy initiatives for over a decade during his time at Dewey Ballantine LLP.

Mr. van Heyningen work at Dewey included trade policy initiatives related to various international trade disputes, including softwood lumber and seafood products, but primarily focused on trade policy issues related to the US integrated steel manufacturers.
