Dean Pinkert

Dean Pinkert is a trade and human rights consultant who served as a member of the US International Trade Commission (USITC) from 2007 to 2017. Dean was nominated for that position by President George W. Bush, confirmed by the US Senate, and later designated Vice Chairman by President Barack Obama. He has worked extensively on international trade policy and litigation, including cases involving antidumping, countervailing duties, and safeguards. More recently, his focus has been on trade-related aspects of human rights and intellectual property.

Dean holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College, a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law, and a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Over his career, he has worked in private law practice, government, and the nonprofit sector.
